Title VI Information
Title VI Non-Discrimination Policy
The City of Lynwood, under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related statutes, ensures that no person in the City of Lynwood, on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, or socioeconomic status shall be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity it administers. The City of Lynwood further assures every effort will be made to ensure non-discrimination in all of its programs, activities and services, whether those programs, activities and services are federally funded or not.

Title VI Compliance Procedures
Any person who believes that he or she has been discriminated against on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, sex, or disability may file a Title VI complaint with the City of Lynwood's Citywide ADA/Title VI Coordinator. The complaint must be filed within 180 days of the date of the alleged discrimination. To file a formal complaint, please submit a written Title VI Complaint form to the ADA/Title VI Coordinator by:

Complainants will receive a written response acknowledging receipt of the complaint. The Citywide ADA/Title VI Coordinator will review the complaint to determine whether is falls under its jurisdiction. All complaints falling under the City of Lynwood's jurisdiction will be investigated as quickly as possible. A written notice of findings will be provided upon completion of the investigation.
Complaints that do not fall under the City of Lynwood's jurisdiction will be referred, wherever possible, to the California Department of Transportation, the Federal Highway Administration, the U.S. Department of Transportation, or the U.S. Department of Justice and/or the complainant will be advised. Your Rights Under Title VI

If you believe your rights under Title VI have been violated, write a letter and tell us what happened. Please be sure to include your name, address and phone number. You must sign and date the letter. Please mail your letter to:
