Each week, Lynwood’s Public Works crews clean illegally dumped items and other debris from nearly 100 miles of the City’s alleys and other public spaces, remove graffiti from public buildings, clean bus shelters and repair numerous potholes. These crews are also on call to clean up and/or repair damage from emergencies that happen within Lynwood.
Last week, crews were called on to remove a bus bench on East Long Beach Blvd that was damaged during a traffic collision, clean up debris and oil from the aftermath of a collision on Imperial Hwy. and California Ave., repair 20 feet of sidewalk on Lewis Road, pressure washed street damaged from a vehicle fire on Carlin Ave.
Lynwood’s Public Works crews are working throughout the City to ensure that our roads and public spaces are clean and safe for our residents. When emergencies occur, they take time to not only clean up the aftermath, but also repair any damage.
Their work makes our City safer for residents.
