Alley depicting illegal dumping of rubbish

This week, Lynwood’s Public Works crews were out in force cleaning 11 alleys citywide. Lynwood alleys are cleaned on a 10-to-14-day rotation to ensure that they are cleaned on a regular basis.

The alleys cleaned this week include:

  • Lavinia Ave. and First Ave. alley – full weed and trash abatement Lavinia Ave. to Agnes Ave. 
  • Lavinia Ave. and Second Ave. alley – full weed and trash abatement Lavinia Ave. to Agnes Ave. 
  • Lavinia Ave. and Third Ave. alley – full weed and trash abatement Lavinia Ave. to Agnes Ave. 
  • Lavinia Ave. and Fourth Ave. alley – full weed and trash abatement Lavinia Ave. to Agnes Ave. 
  • Atlantic Ave. east at Primo Burger alley – illegally dumped items 
  • 5100 block Imperial Hwy. south alley Virginia Ave. to Duncan Ave. – illegally dumped items
  • Carlin Ave. south alley abatement Atlantic Ave. to Olanda St. – illegally dumped items 
  • Atlantic Ave. east, 7-11 alley cleanup Walnut Ave. to MLK Blvd. – illegally dumped 
  • Atlantic Ave. east Los Flores Blvd. to MLK Blvd. full alley abatement of illegally dumped items and full weed abatement 
  • Pope Ave. west MLK Blvd. to Los Flores Blvd. full alley abatement of illegally dumped items and full weed abatement 
  • Duncan Ave. west MLK Blvd. to Los Flores Blvd full weed abatement and full alley abatement of illegally dumped items 

You can help keep Lynwood’s alleys and public spaces clean by properly disposing of your unwanted items either through recycling, donations or calling Bulky Item pick-up at (888) 467-7600.

Reminder: You will be charged the cost of clean-up if you are found to have illegally dumped items.
